Summary#
Register Azure Account#
To apply for Azure OpenAI Service, you first need an Azure account. Click https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/ to register. You will need a Microsoft account to register. In other words, to apply for OpenAI Service, you first need to register a Microsoft account, then log in to this Microsoft account to activate Azure, and finally apply for OpenAI Service.
Registering an Azure account is very simple. Fill in the required information as instructed. Note that you need to bind a credit card to register successfully. Currently, VISA and MasterCard are supported.
I used a virtual credit card, and it was rejected by ChatGPT Plus, but it went smoothly here. After successful registration, there is a $200 usage limit. I'm not sure if this can be used to get OpenAI Service for free.
Apply for Azure OpenAI Service#
To use Azure OpenAI Service, you need to fill out an application form and go through the review process. Here is the application link: https://aka.ms/oai/access.
Since the review process is strict, it is recommended to fill out the form truthfully (although it's not necessary, I filled out one item falsely😉).
According to the information provided by https://v2ex.com/t/934490, there are two options for application: educational email and corporate email. You can choose according to your own situation. I chose the latter.
If your application with a corporate email is not approved, you can try using your student email (if you still have one🫡).
I won't explain all the form contents one by one, but I will explain a few important ones here. Please carefully read the highlighted text in the application form. Let's get started~
According to fish's sharing: The application form is processed by Microsoft headquarters, so please fill it out in English.

Select a few here, and fill in the fourth item accordingly. To avoid trouble, I chose 1.
Item 5 (Important)#
The highlighted note has already stated that personal email addresses will be rejected, so be sure to fill in an educational or corporate email address. Let's assume you fill in [email protected] here.
Item 6 (Important)#
You need to fill in the company name here. If you don't know the English name of the company, you can use "Qichacha" to check the company's business information, as shown below:
The following address information is not so particular, just translate it into English.
Item 12 (Important)#
Fill in the company website. Do you remember the email address you filled in item 5? It needs to match the email address, so you need to enter https://www.example.com here. If the website information you provided does not correspond to the company information in item 6, it may also fail.
I once saw someone say that when applying, you need to have a corporate email, domain name owner, and company name "three codes in one". This is probably where many people get stuck.

Referring to fish's sharing, I think the chance of making a phone call doesn't exist. So I didn't provide a real phone number, but instead found a local telecom business hall's phone number and filled it in.
Item 14#
This is where fish got stuck. If you don't know these terms, you can look them up yourself. If you find it troublesome, you can directly select "Other" and then fill in the industry your company operates in.
Companies that usually use Azure are involved in cloud service products, so I filled in SaSS Service Based Cloud Service here. (Feels weird 😂)

Use any corporate email, and for educational email, select Education.

Conclusion#
Congratulations, you finally filled it out!
After filling it out, you will receive a thank-you email in your corporate email. It will inform you that the application will be replied to within 10 working days. After about two hours, you will receive a confirmation email notification. Click the link in the email to confirm and wait for approval 🎉🎉🎉
